Dial-up -> DSL -> Cable -> Fiber (FIOS) Cable is always going to be worse than Fiber as far as Internet, and DSL worse than cable, and dial-up worse than DSL.Xfinity will give you 1.2Gbps down for a similar price (including introductory discounts) but 30Mbps up with no option of buying faster upload. In the age of WFH, cable internet offerings are a bit of a joke, but competition is extremely thin. You're lucky in Cow Hollow because there's no buried utilities. All ISPs are shit because they can get away with it. I use Centurylink without issues, and I've heard "good" things about Wave as well. Comcast is shit. Comcast is shit. Comcast is shit. I've had awful experiences with Wave. Comcast is a lot better (and cheaper) by comparison, although still not great.Internet download is slightly faster than Xfinity, and no issues in first 2 weeks. Internet upload is crazy-fast, compared to Xfinity. Mobile signal in my house is crappy, but not a big deal bc we call over wifi. I would say to give it some time and do a real world challenge. Unplug your xfinity, rely on tmobile only and give it a few weeks/month. That will be the best way to know if "it's worth it" or not. TL:DR. t-mobile home internet speeds are pretty incredible for being a 5G gateway. cost will be consistent 50 dollars a month with auto pay (might be 10-15 dollars more if you’re not a T-Mobile wireless customer or no auto pay) don’t expect to play games competitively (latency is meh)Xfinity's cable box interface is nicer, but it was more expensive than Fios for me. In addition to what others have said, they're both terrible companies generally, but Comcast is usually seen as being a little more terrible. I had Comcast for a bunch of years and I can't honestly say it was too bad in any way, but I've now had FiOS for a bunch ...Xfinity Mobile is a Verizon MVNO and resells their service, so they are much lower on the totem pole when it comes to network congestion.
